Released independently in March of 2018, “Professor Colombo II” realizes a vision that incorporates the styles of many classic artists from the 1960s & ‘70s, but also utilizes a fresh & unique artistic perspective. From the head banging hard rock of  ‘Can’t Let You Go’ to the funky, grooving country of ‘Do It For The Dog’, the album is a showcase for this quartet’s ability to take on various styles and be equally at home in all of them.

Formed in Huntington Beach, California in the fall of 2015 by singer, songwriter and guitarist Eric Roebuck, the band initially took shape with the core membership of Adam Ditt on bass guitar & Henry James on lead guitar. After the release of a self-titled debut album, the band had a revolving door of other members – including a lineup that had Henry playing drums –but they were able to make quick progress, playing to packed clubs in Orange County, Los Angeles, and opening for Iron Butterfly. In late 2016, drummer Mike Trout returned to California from studies abroad and solidified the line up, injecting a fresh, powerful energy into their live show. Professor Colombo went on the road for a tour of the southwestern United States in the summer of 2017, and a few months later began recording their second album. The band members mutually aspired to have recordings that were up to par with the fiery live performances that they were quickly gaining a reputation for. In March of 2018, a wild spectacle of an album release party was put together at the Wayfarer in Costa Mesa, which wound up being a sold out show. Now Professor Colombo enters the next phase of their career, filled with the ambitious energy of a new album and a virtuosic lineup.
